Our Story

In 1926, my grandpa, Lorenz Bahnsen, decided to seek a new life across the Atlantic. Leaving Germany & arriving in the
United States with little more than hope and determination, he found work as a hired hand on a modest farm in the
heartland. From his dedication and tireless work ethic he was eventually able to purchase the very farm where he had once
toiled as an employee. He nurtured the land, transforming it into a prosperous farm, and eventually passed it on to my dad,
who continued the family tradition of farming.

Having grown up amidst the fields, my dad embraced the stewardship of the land with a deep sense of responsibility. Under
his care, the farm thrived, sustaining my family through the decades. As my dad approached retirement, I needed to come
up with a new way to preserve the farm. Inspired by the picturesque landscape and rich family history, I envisioned a fresh
chapter for the old family homestead. My husband & I transformed the farm into the charming wedding venue that it is,
preserving its legacy while opening its doors to couples seeking a romantic and rustic setting for their special day. My family
farm, once a symbol of new beginnings for my grandpa, continues to evolve and flourish, bridging the past and present with
love.
